The Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) recently launched a set of incentive packages to help the free zone company from coping up against COVID-19 pandemic. Free Zone Company To Receive Economic Packages from DAFZA
DAFZA said in a statement that the government launched the said packages to mitigate the impact of the crisis on businesses. The agency hopes the economic packages will help the free zone company sector overcome their economic loss amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Financial Relief
The incentive includes postponing all lease payments up to three months. This initiative aims to lessen the economic burden in the business sector while shutting down their operations. The DAFZA will refund the security deposits on free zone company leased spaces. The businessmen can resume paying their lease on an installment basis once the pandemic crisis in Dubai subsides.
Meanwhile, the DAFZA will exempt the new free zone company from paying the registration, licensing fees, as well as company fines. According to DAFZA Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, they strive to provide an ideal environment for the free zone sector.
